  • Terravive offers compostable cutlery designed to provide the strength and functionality required for foodservice while offering an alternative to conventional plastic utensils. Refer to individual product specifications for applicable compostability certifications and disposal requirements.

  • Terravive's plant-based compostable cutlery is designed to compost without generating persistent microplastics, providing an alternative to conventional petroleum-based plastic forks, knives, and spoons.

  • Terravive foodservice products are designed without added PFAS, commonly referred to as “forever chemicals.” Refer to individual product specifications for material and certification information.

  • Terravive offers both medium-duty and heavy-duty compostable cutlery to meet different foodservice needs. Medium-duty utensils weigh approximately 4 grams each, while heavy-duty utensils weigh approximately 5 grams each for applications that require additional strength.

  • Yes. Terravive offers individually wrapped forks, knives, and spoons in both medium-duty and heavy-duty options. Individually wrapped utensils are useful for takeout, grab-and-go, healthcare, cafeterias, catering, and other foodservice applications where individually packaged cutlery is preferred.

  • Yes. Terravive offers bulk compostable forks, knives, and spoons in medium-duty and heavy-duty options. Bulk cutlery can be used by cafeterias, dining halls, restaurants, stadiums, healthcare facilities, and other high-volume foodservice operations.

  • Terravive's compostable forks, knives, spoons, and cutlery kits listed on this page are made in the USA. The cutlery dispenser is an exception and is not currently made in the USA.

  • Compostable cutlery is used by restaurants, colleges and universities, hospitals and healthcare facilities, government facilities, corporate dining programs, stadiums, events, caterers, and other commercial and institutional foodservice operations.

  • Yes. Plant-based compostable cutlery provides an alternative to conventional petroleum-based plastic forks, knives, and spoons. Terravive cutlery is designed to provide dependable foodservice performance while supporting organizations seeking alternatives to traditional single-use plastics.

  • Where accepted, certified compostable cutlery should be collected with other accepted compostable foodservice products and food scraps and sent to a commercial composting facility. Composting availability and accepted materials vary by location, so foodservice operators should confirm requirements with their local composting provider.
